What idea does Momoka have to snap her master out of his predicament?
Dessert Shop ROSE belongs to CyberX Games.
Rich montblancs of the silkiest chestnut cream, served with a refreshing blend of fruit tea. Elegant monaka with luscious sweet potato filling, paired alongside a simple brew of hōjicha. Steamed pumpkin bread studded with raisins, next to bowls of jewellike anmitsu; apple juice gloriously gold next to grape shaved ice regally purple and green. Taking place in RC 381 was a feast like no other; aseasonal as sin, but delicious beyond all description, infecting every formless narrator with a burning desire to actually have a mouth.
"This is the how many cake you've had already? I thought you don't like sweet stuff? Save some for me!" Inasuke said irritatedly, watching Urato scarf down yet one more plate of dessert, then grin at him in an obvious attempt to irritate him.
The room seemed as though doused in heavenly light. The flavours, the scents, the colours, all were lovely beyond measure, but none brought as much joy as the fact this plan worked.
If aiming for what he hated didn't work, better to present him what he enjoyed, Momoka suggested. Thus, sacrificing whatever allowance she had left, she entered the world of a casual mobile game she played – Dessert Shop ROSE – and ordered an utter feast. Roasted chestnuts, baked sweet potatoes, Shinshū apples; she knew too well her master's taste for autumn flavours in his desserts. Just as she predicted, the pleasant smells woke Kaguya from his coma, and thus the Four Demonly Kings were soon treated to a party full of the best autumn treats, brought from a riddle-solving game priding itself on dazzlingly beautiful depiction of food.
"Ito okashi*; this is the best sweet potato I've ever eaten," Kaguya said, happily, pleasantly, even as the doodles and insulting writings hadn't yet been wiped off his face. "The tea is excellent and so is the anmitsu; everything tastes as beautiful as it looks. Why didn't you tell me about this game? I have to try it out."
The food was inviting, but Momoka had no desire to eat any. Once again, she could hear her master's voice – a pleasant timbre resting somewhere between Hosoya Yoshimasa** and Shimazaki Nobunaga***. Once again, she could see his lovely smile, even as he still yet had an eggplant-coloured moustache. That she wanted to punish Urato and Inasuke dearly for what they did to him throughout their previous mission was forgotten; they were free to join the party and share the joy, spend pleasant time as part of a quartet of true companions.
Momoka couldn't be happier.
